Windows 7 wouldn't boot, and the start up repair just stayed on "loading files." In a last ditch effort, I unplugged all extraneous devices -- in my case the flash drives Windows 7 wont load/boot up to desktop or Repair mode with disc Windows 7 doesn't boot fully, system repair doesn't work. Clearing the BIOS memory on your motherboard will return the BIOS settings to their factory default levels. Now it just hangs at the windows logo and never goes past that.
When it does, follow the prompts. If it's a software problem, you may be able to fix it by performing a Startup Repair operation. In a perfect world, PC users would never have to remove the machine's case and fiddle with its internal components.

If your Dell PC or tablet supports BIOS recovery, you can recover the corrupt BIOS by using the BIOS recovery method applicable for your Dell PC or tablet. If I chose normal it would show the windows logo then reset. Computer Won't Start If you can't do this from the boot menu, insert a Windows installation disc or recovery disk and use the startup repair tool from there.
