I would decline an Inspiron as a gift...Dell's Lattitude line (designed for the 'business' user) is much better. Initially, I checked half the boxes, but the freezes continued, then I unchecked half and eventually had them all unchecked. I loaded all my current software, Office XP, Autocad LT97, numerous other misc.
