I know the update experience is a bit frustrating, and a result like that certainly doesn't help. I let is sit for over an hour, but finally is started downloading updates!!!!! 236 of them!!!!! I consider myself an "experienced" user, but couldn't fix this problem. Also, started by manually installing KB3102810 which is an update to the Windows Update service, which seemed to help with the CPU and memory usage issues. Now on my lunch break I did a quick test and downloaded and installed IE 11 along with 12 other Updates from the MS site and it was fast and easy. Thank you, thank you, Thank you !!!
