I should have pointed out that I first tried to clone to a disk with drive letter assigned to it. Then shut down unplugged original and clone DID in fact boot. If so, proceed to step 7.

This tutorial from their online ‘Help' pages explains things very well.. But I had one major problem with this tutorial: I have completed every step until that point where you need to use the bcedit command. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.
