Windows Media Player Won't Update!

it plays files fine but just wont let me save playlists which is quite annoying, ive deleted everything out that folder but the problems still there, i dont know what to As described if I play a song it gets added but WMP will not scan and add music from the folders I have added to my music library. In the Task Manager these files are wmplayer.exe, wmpnscfg.exe, and WMPNetwk.exe as far as I know.
