I tried 3 computers and one plays after multiple refreshes but others do not even if they have cleared caches or never been used to visit the site. Personally, I like Kaspersky Security, because it always kept my computer running without viruses. On Vimeo.com it just shows the video image with no controls, on embeds it appears as a blank space. I tried above option (changing rendering on Internet Options, Advanced to software rather than GPU) and that also worked for me. I'm not positive about how that would look in the IE Internet Options settings since I do not have Java installed on any Windows 8 machines. But in Win8(64bit) using IE10 it is not working even after doing all of the above. I purchased this laptop used in excellent condition for $100 with red sparkles on the screen. This part has NOTHING to do with the problem I'm having now, but apparently the red sparkles happened shortly after the original owner purchased the laptop. If I hit F5/refresh, the page consistently reloads with the player correctly rendered.
